The employees and medical professionals at Plessen Healthcare have been busy for the past couple of weeks working to develop their customer service skills to better serve patients and the St Croix community.
Plessen recently began working with St Croix native Zelema Belle, a customer service training expert and founder of Pro Business Group. Belle, a graduate of Central High School, now resides in Florida but returns to the Territory often to visit family. She received her degree from Johnson and Wales University and brings a wealth of experience working in the corporate world as a customer service training professional, including ten years training call center teams.
In 2018 Zelema left the corporate world to branch out with a partner to provide customer service training to small businesses. In 2021, she established Pro Business Group. After experiencing a decade long journey recovering from a brain surgery and spending extensive time as a patient in medical offices, she is uniquely positioned to understand the nuances of the medical practice from a patient perspective.
“Exceptional customer service is my passion,” states Ms. Belle. “Everyone at Plessen has been very, very open to learning from the top to bottom.”
As with many medical practices and hospitals, the past two years of the COVID-19 pandemic have been stressful to patients and medical professionals alike with changing protocols amid outbreaks. However, Plessen Healthcare continues to work to provide the best care for our patients from their first interaction.
In February 2022, a survey was shared with Plessen patients that helped to identify areas for improvement. Plessen Healthcare’s leadership team, medical professionals, and the entire staff have worked with Ms. Belle in groups and one-on-one to take their customer service from “good to great”.
